1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Foundation stones laid for Dwarka Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Foundation stones were laid for development eight-lane access controlled Dwarka Expressway and Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Delhi on 8 March 2019.

The Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Arun Jaitley; and Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stones for the developmental projects.

The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is conceived as a 1,320 km greenfield project. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 90,000 crore.

The existing Delhi-Mumbai National Corridor (NH-8 section of the Golden Quadrilateral) is one the busiest routes of the national highways network, witnessing an average traffic of more than 80,000 PCUs per day.

The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai road will reduce around 150 km in distance between Delhi and Mumbai. Moreover, it will act as an expressway to Jaipur via the already developed Jaipur-Dausa NH-11.

The project will reduce the distance to other important economic centres of Kota, Bhopal and Indore from Delhi, through intersecting NHs being developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana, by about 100 km.

The Delhi-Vadodara Expressway will be developed in five phases at a cost of Rs 45,000 crore. The bids for the same are at various stages of finalisation.

The Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is being undertaken in three phases at a cost of Rs 45,000 crore. The work has been awarded for Phase-I and for the remaining phases will be done in 2019.

The Dwarka Expressway (NH-248BB) of 29 km is being built at the cost of Rs 9,000 crore. The project will begin from Shiv Murti to terminate near Kherki Daula on NH-8.

The section is a part of NH-8 is a part of Delhi-Jaipur-Ahmedabad-Mumbai arm of Golden Quadrilateral and Delhi-Gurugram section. The expressway stretches 18.9 km  in Haryana and 10.1 km in Delhi.

Apart from this, six-lane Jaipur Ring Road (57 km) was inaugurated. The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 1,217 crore.

The ring road connects NH-11 (Agra Road), NH-8 (Ajmer Road), NH-12 (Tonk Road), and NH-12 (Malpura Road). The project involved construction of two ROBs, a flyover, two major bridges, 20 minor bridges, 32 VUPs and 31 culverts.
