A new 23-km, four-lane highway project will soon connect North Rampur in Kishanganj to Satal Ishtamarar in Bahadurganj, significantly improving regional connectivity and reducing travel time. The construction is set to begin soon, and the highway will become a critical part of the East-West corridor, linking major cities and improving access to the Bagdogra airport in Siliguri.
The Rs 1,117-crore project will connect two major national highways: NH-27 and NH-327E, making travel between these areas smoother and more efficient. Currently, a 45-minute trip between Kishanganj and Bahadurganj will be cut down to just 20 minutes.
The project is expected to generate employment opportunities during both construction and operational phases.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, enhancing the quality of life, and boosting economic growth.
