Chennai-based Funskool, India’s largest toy manufacturer, is in advanced talks with Mattel —makers of Hot Wheels, Barbie, and Jurassic World toys, to produce its products at Funskool’s plants in Goa.
Chief executive KA Shabir said that discussions are progressing. Funskool had aimed for 30 percent export growth in FY26, but the CEO noted: “Till September, exports are expected to grow only around 20–22%.”
Currently, 33 percent of Funskool’s products are sold in India, 27 percent in the US, and 35 percent in Europe.
