The State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department of Madhya Pradesh is set to attract an investment of over Rs 200 crore from toy manufacturers of Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and nearby states in the current financial year.
For this, the toy manufacturers of Delhi intend to invest in Madhya Pradesh in the clusters, and industrial land parcels close to well-developed cities like Indore, which has easy access to transport, allied industry and labour.
Further, the MSME department has proposed undeveloped land parcels to investors in 20 districts to set up facilities in the state by applying under different investment promotion schemes under the state government’s toy policy and acquiring land on a first-come-first-serve basis.
In addition, nearly 40 industries from 36 companies of India under the banner of the Toy Association of India (TAI), in a recent meeting with the state MSME department in Delhi, had shown their interest in setting up manufacturing facilities in Madhya Pradesh, encouraged by the benefits rolled out by the state government to industries.
