The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has announced the construction of a 1.4 km flyover connecting Esteem Mall Junction, Ballari Road, and Manyata Tech Park to decongest traffic on Hebbal Road.

The project will be executed by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and aims to enable smooth traffic movement from the Outer Ring Road–KR Puram side directly to Ballari Road, bypassing Hebbal Junction. Discussions with relevant departments have been completed, and implementation is set to begin shortly.

During an inspection of the site, GBA Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao directed BDA officials to complete a new loop at Hebbal flyover within 15 days. The flyover from KR Puram into the city is already operational, while the connecting loop is under construction, with the first girder installed and concrete work ongoing. Commissioner Rao also instructed the completion of road asphalting, repair of damaged footpaths near Hebbal Lake, and asphalting of roads in RMV 2nd Stage and Basaveshwara Layout to improve connectivity.
