GE Aerospace will invest USD14 million to enhance its manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, marking its 10th anniversary of operations.
This follows a USD 30 million investment announced last year and will focus on upgrading processes and automation to support the production of advanced engine components. The Pune site has transitioned from a multi-business unit to a critical supplier for GE’s global engine factories, supported by over 300 suppliers. The facility is ISO certified for environmental and safety standards, with a strong focus on sustainability. Using GE’s FLIGHT DECK operating model, the site has seen improved productivity, shorter lead times, and reduced downtime.
"This investment reflects our commitment to advancing India’s role in global aerospace manufacturing," said Vishwajit Singh, Vishwajit Singh, Managing Director of the Pune facility.
