GE Vernova T&D India has approved an investment of Rs 806 crore to enhance manufacturing capacities at its existing facilities.

The investment will be used to increase the production of transformers and reactors at its Vadodara plant in Gujarat, and GIS & AIS products at its Padappi and Hosur units in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, new production lines for air core reactors and bushings will be established at the Hosur facility. The planned expansion aims to boost transformer and reactor capacity by over 50 percent, and GIS & AIS product capacity by up to 25 percent.

The expansion is set to be completed by 2028 and will be funded through internal accruals. This strategic move will help GE Vernova meet the growing demand for power transmission equipment in both domestic and export markets.
