AESL Projects has awarded a contract to GE Vernova T&D India for the design and establishment of a 2500 MW, ± 500 kV high voltage direct current (HVDC) VSC Terminal Station.
This project, which involves two 1250 MW terminals, will facilitate the evacuation of renewable power from KPS 3 (Khavda) to South Olpad. The order was awarded by a domestic entity, AESL Projects, a subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions and aims to play a crucial role in improving the transmission of renewable energy across the region. The contract will be executed over several years, with the design, supply, and installation phases planned accordingly.
"This project underscores our commitment to advancing India's renewable energy infrastructure," said a representative from GE Vernova. The total size of the contract is substantial, marking a key step in the nation’s energy transition towards more sustainable power systems.
