The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has identified five key junctions in the city to be developed into model junctions, aimed at improving traffic flow and minimising violations.
These locations, prone to congestion, include Z Chowk, crossings near Good Earth Mall, Artemis Hospital, Bikanerwala on MG Road, and Medanta Hospital. The GMDA, in coordination with traffic police, plans to introduce engineering solutions and enhance enforcement at these spots. The junctions will be revamped with proper lane markings, pedestrian crossings, speed limit boards, and new traffic signals. Additionally, cameras will be installed to monitor live traffic and violations.
Once the proposal is approved, tenders will be floated for the works. This initiative is part of GMDA’s broader plan to strengthen traffic discipline across the city.
