GPS Renewables, a full-stack biofuels firm, and its subsidiary Proweps have partnered with Germany-based Biogastechnik Süd (BGTS) to introduce advanced paddle agitators under the Varibull brand in India.
The agitators, to be manufactured at GPS Renewables’ facility in Bengaluruy, aim to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs for Indian compressed biogas (CBG) plants. Conventional agitators often face challenges such as high power consumption, poor handling of fibrous material, sediment deposits, and crust formation. The Varibull Paddle Agitator addresses these issues with efficient mixing, reliable operation, and lower energy use.
Rajesh Ayyappasur, Director – Business Development & Partnerships at GPS Renewables, said, “At GPS, we have always been on introducing innovative technologies that can categorically address challenges in biogas production. Our partnership with Biogastechnik Süd Germany marks a significant milestone for us as we enter into a new product category: agitators.” Through this collaboration, GPS Renewables will integrate BGTS technology into its turnkey plant equipment portfolio, offering Indian developers a future-ready solution.
