The Goa government has initiated efforts to identify Central government schemes offering 100 percent financial assistance to accelerate infrastructure development across key sectors like agriculture, education, healthcare, employment, skill development, transport, ports, roads, and water supply.
A consultant will be appointed to identify suitable schemes and assist state departments in preparing proposals in line with Central guidelines. The Consultant is expected to collaborate with relevant departments, ensure their approvals, and support the creation of necessary documents such as pre-feasibility reports, techno-economic feasibility studies, and detailed project reports. The move is part of the state’s vision to become India’s first developed state by maximising Central financial resources.
Goa aims to ensure proposals align with the Government of India’s procedural and technical standards to secure funding under central sector and centrally sponsored schemes. While tourism and related industries remain vital, the government also recognises the growing importance of pharmaceuticals and information technology in generating employment and supporting the state’s economic growth.
