Godrej Agrovet, one of India’s largest diversified agri-food businesses, has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) on the sidelines of World Food India 2025.
The proposed Rs 960-crore investment will focus on establishing state-of-the-art manufacturing and processing facilities, along with an upstream R&D centre, to strengthen the company’s food processing and agri-business capabilities. The initiative primarily targets expansion in the oil palm and pet food segments, with projects planned across Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Telangana, and Maharashtra.
CEO & MD Sunil Kataria said the investment aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to enhance agri-food processing, distribution, and innovation while creating sustainable value across the supply chain. Signed in the presence of MoFPI Secretary Avinash Joshi and Godrej Group executives, the partnership underscores a joint commitment to advancing India’s food processing ecosystem and agricultural innovation.
