Godrej Industries' Chemicals Division has completed the acquisition of the food additives business of Savannah Surfactants for Rs 76 crore. This move marks a strategic step in Godrej’s global expansion into the food and beverages sector and further strengthens its presence in the speciality chemicals domain.

Savannah Surfactants, based in Goa, operates a facility with a manufacturing capacity of 5,200 MTPA of finished products. With this acquisition, Savannah’s operations will now be integrated into Godrej’s chemicals business, enhancing its portfolio in food-grade chemical solutions.

The acquisition aligns with Godrej’s long-term strategy to scale its speciality chemicals business and deepen its capabilities in high-growth categories. By entering the food additives segment, Godrej not only diversifies its product offerings but also expands its global reach in a value-added sector poised for sustained demand.
