The Good Fashion Fund (GFF), managed by impact investment firm FOUNT, has invested in Sharadha Terry Products (STPPL), a leading manufacturer and exporter of premium bed and bath products under the MicroCotton brand, based in Metupalayam, Tamil Nadu.
The investment will support STPPL’s expansion into bath and area rugs through the establishment of a new unit, Sri Gugan Mills, also located in Metupalayam. This funding will go toward the installation of advanced tufting machinery with an annual capacity of four million sq. mtrs. The new facility will focus on the production of dope-dyed polyester and cotton bath rugs, including new product lines currently under development.
The company aims to boost its revenue potential by diversifying into sustainable rug production. The launch of ‘Sharadha Rugs’ at Heimtextil 2025 in Frankfurt marked STPPL’s formal entry into the rugs segment, positioning the brand as a one-stop shop for high-quality, sustainably manufactured bed and bath products.
A core aspect of the company’s sustainability model includes powering a significant portion of its operations through captive renewable energy sources, including 5.1 MW of wind power and a 10.1 MW solar plant. These initiatives align with both GFF’s mission and STPPL’s commitment to environmental responsibility. This next phase aims to further accelerate sustainability-led innovation in the fashion and textile sectors.
