The Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh is planning to implement Chanderi Micro Lift Irrigation in Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh on turnkey basis at a cost of Rs 449.48 crore.
The project is proposed to be developed to provide irrigation facilities to 20,000 ha area covered in upper reaches of Chambal Betwa basin where the level of irrigation is very much less.
The water shall be abstracted by lifting from pump house to be located on the left bank (RD 3.330 km) of Rajghat Left Bank Canal, offtaking from Indira Sagar reservoir. In April 2017, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) accorded terms of reference (ToR) for the project.
In May 2018, Sarthi Construction in joint venture (JV) with ANS Construction bagged an order worth Rs 449.48 crore for construction of the project on turnkey basis.
As per latest information available with Projects Today, designing work was completed and promoter is awaiting for certain government approvals. The civil work is likely to commence by December 2019.
