The government has announced that 78 projects under the Sagarmala programme have been completed, with more than 40 projects currently in progress across coastal states and Union Territories.
A total of 124 projects, costing Rs 8,670 crore, have been sanctioned under the programme, with the Centre committing Rs 3,238 crore. Out of the sanctioned amount, Rs 2,838 crore has already been released to the states and implementing agencies. Maharashtra leads with 20 completed projects, followed by Tamil Nadu with16 projects, and Gujarat with five projects.
Other states like Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala also have several projects either completed or in progress.
