In a significant move to enhance power infrastructure in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir, the government has sanctioned the construction of a 50 MVA, 132/33 KV grid station at Mandhar.
The project, estimated at Rs 49 crore, is expected to greatly improve the power supply network in the region. Once operational, the grid station will provide better voltage regulation, reduce transmission losses, and ensure a stable and uninterrupted electricity supply, effectively ending frequent breakdowns and outages.
The grid station is set to play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of this border area. The project reflects the government's commitment to equitable development, particularly in hilly and border regions, improving the quality of life and boosting holistic growth in Mendhar.
