The Greater Noida Authority has proposed the construction of a crucial three-km road link to connect the city’s existing 130-mtrs.-wide road with the 120-mtrs. wide Yamuna City Road, enhancing access to the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar.
The missing stretch has long been a bottleneck for commuters from Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad. Officials said the project aims to ensure seamless connectivity from Noida Extension to the greenfield airport. The current 130-mtrs.-wide corridor, stretching from Char Murti Chowk to Sirsa village (around 30 km), will be directly connected to Yamuna City Road through this new link.
The detailed project report (DPR) is expected within two months. Coordination with Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and the Uttar Pradesh irrigation department is ongoing, as part of the proposed alignment passes through their jurisdiction. Plans also include building a rotary at Ghangola roundabout and an underpass near Sirsa village to cross the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
