At its 49th Annual General Meeting held on 09 September, 2025, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC), Bharuch, reaffirmed its focus on strategic growth.
The company has completed a four MW solar project at Charanka in June 2024 and revamped its ammonia plant to 2,100 MTPD capacity, enabling ~Rs 51 crore annual savings. A Rs 613 crore coal-based captive co-generation power plant at Dahej is expected to yield nearly Rs 100 crore in yearly savings. Additionally, the Rs 1,420 crore Weak Nitric Acid-III project will enhance capacity by 48 percent by June 2027. GNFC also plans a 94 percent Ammonium Nitrate-II expansion, projected to add Rs 1,000 crore revenue once integrated with WNA-III.
A strategic management consultant has been engaged for digitalization, structural redesign, and margin improvements. The company is also expanding agri-input trading while supporting schemes like PM-PRANAM, Namo Drone Didi, and PM-Kisan Samriddhi Kendras.
