The Gujarat government is set to establish a dedicated cluster for the IT, IT-enabled services (ITES), and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors near GIFT City in Gandhinagar to enhance the state's digital economy.
The state aims to promote these sectors in a more dynamic and organized manner. "As part of several policy initiatives, we decided to develop a GIFT Citylike, dedicated major cluster for AI, IT/ITES and related emerging technologies. It will be located beside GIFT City," she said. The new cluster will target global tech giants, offering tailored incentives and full support to foster the development of emerging technologies in Gujarat.
The state government plans to invite top global tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Meta to be "anchor units" in the Gujarat IT-AI City. Customized incentives, including land, infrastructure, taxation, and compliance flexibility, will be offered to attract these companies.
