Gujarat is emerging as a major IT/ITES hub in India with the launch of the ‘Million Minds’ Tech City in Ahmedabad. Covering 18 million sq. ft. and located on a 65-acre plot, the project represents an investment of Rs 6,000-7,000 crore.
The development is set to happen in phases, with the first phase already completed, delivering 1.4 million sq. ft. of ready-to-use space. Ganesh Housing has secured over Rs 900 crore for the Tech City.
Viren Mehta, President of Sales and Marketing at Ganesh Housing Corporation, discussed the project at the Gujarat IT/ITES Policy 2022-27 roadshow in Bengaluru. He highlighted the policy's effectiveness in attracting over 200 leading IT/ITES companies to the region. The collaboration between Ganesh Housing and the government will create the infrastructure necessary to support this sector's growth.
He also pointed out that interest extends beyond IT companies, with sectors like telecom and financial institutions also participating. “Out of the 900 crore of investment, roughly 200 crore is coming from the telecom and financial institution,” he noted.
The project underscores Gujarat's growing prominence as an IT and business services destination.
