HES Infra in a joint venture (JV) with Max Infra has secured a contract for construction of Chhindwara irrigation complex project in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh on turnkey basis.
The contract has been awarded by the Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh. The value of the contract is Rs 4,309 crore.
The scope of work comprises construction of single/multiple dams/barrages on river Kanhan and one dam near Palaspani having overall minimum live capacity of 651.33 mcm for the project, including construction of tunnel to feed the earthen reservoir near Palaspani.
It includes construction of a central spillway with radial gates or other suitable surplussing arrangement and hoisting arrangement, gantry crane, all instrumentations, gates automation and illumination on dam including SCADA. This includes construction of coffer dams with necessary dewatering and river diversion, diversion sluice, under sluice if required include survey and investigations, designing of project and its approval and preparation and submission of LA cases and forest cases for acquisition of lands
The work also includes construction of pressurised pipe irrigation network for system covering culturable command sprinkler area of 1,90,500 ha within approximate GCA of 2,93,000 ha and to deliver water at farmers’ fields up to one ha from with a duty of 0.33 ltr/sec/ha and maintained up to 30 ha chak and discharge of minimum 10 times the duty at one hectare chak for micro pressurized irrigation (drip/sprinkler) by rotation by lifting water.
It includes construction BPT/distribution chambers, procurement, laying, installing, energising of pumping system, rising and gravity mains, main line, branch lines, distribution network, controlling and regulation system with SCADA. Automation includes survey, investigation, designing of irrigation network and its approval and preparation of LA cases & forest cases.
The work has to be competed in a period of 60 months.
