The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has launched the initial phase of the proposed elevated corridor from Paradise Junction to Military Dairy Farm Road, extending to Suchitra Junction along NH-44.
Spanning 5.4 km, the Rs 1,580 crore project is being executed by MVR Infra Projects, with soil testing currently underway to assess construction feasibility. Following testing, traffic diversions will be implemented with approval from traffic police. Road widening and shifting of underground utilities like 1,000 mm and 800 mm water pipelines are nearing completion.
The six-lane corridor will feature a 4.6 km elevated stretch and a 600-metre underground tunnel near Begumpet Airport, approved by the Airports Authority of India in March 2025. The tunnel, designed for a future Metro Rail line, addresses sharp curves near the airport.
Once completed, the corridor will significantly ease traffic congestion, especially around Secunderabad, Tadbund, and Bowenpally, reducing travel time for 1.5–2 lakh daily commuters and improving connectivity to northern Telangana.
