Hindusthan National Glass Industries (HNGIL) has chalked out a Rs 5,000-crore
investment plan for the next five years.
HNGIL plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore to set up a new facility, for which it
is scouting for a location in Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. A total of
500 acre is required and the company is in talks with the state governments. The
plant will have three container glass units and two for float glass.
Meanwhile, HNGIL is expanding capacity at its Bahadurgarh plant in Haryana
from two to 3.1 lakh tonne by 2012. It is increasing the capacity of its Nashik
plant from the current 400 to 1,100 tpd by March 2012 with an investment of Rs
500 crore. The Neemrana plant in Rajasthan will be expanded from 200 to 650 tpd
by April 2013 at a cost of Rs 500 crore.
Besides, the company is in the process of setting up a new plant at Naidupeta
in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs 650 crore. The unit with a capacity
of 750 tpd is expected to be operational by March 2012.
