HVR Solar has announced the launch of a 2GW annual solar photovoltaic manufacturing facility in Sonipat, Haryana, representing a major advancement in India's renewable energy sector. Spanning 6.5 acres within Haryana's industrial corridor, the new plant will specialise in producing high-efficiency N-Type Topcon bifacial modules, with output capacities of up to 715Wp per unit.
The facility aims to meet the increasing domestic and international demand for next-generation solar modules while reducing India's dependence on imports. Operations are set to begin in Q3/2025. According to Rishabh Aggarwal, Director of HVR Solar, “This expansion marks a pivotal moment in HVR Solar's journey toward becoming a dominant force in India's solar manufacturing landscape.”
Strategically located to benefit from Haryana’s robust industrial infrastructure, skilled labour, and strong connectivity to key markets in North India, the facility will also boost supply chain efficiency and reduce logistics costs. The plant will incorporate advanced automation and Industry 4.0 technologies to maintain high-quality standards and competitive pricing. It is expected to generate significant employment and contribute to regional economic development.
