Pahal Solar has expanded its solar module manufacturing capacity to three gigawatts (GW) across two facilities, following approval under India's Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and certification under the BIS 2023 standards.
This expansion, confirmed in the ALMM list dated 07 February, 2026 (R-72015008), allows the company to supply modules for government-backed and large-scale solar projects in India. The move positions Pahal Solar to meet growing demand from utility-scale, commercial, and public-sector projects, including initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. Chairman and Managing Director, Paresh Shingala, emphasised that the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to quality, scale, and self-reliance. The additional capacity will support the production of high-efficiency modules and strengthen India’s solar manufacturing sector, reducing dependence on imports.
Pahal Solar plans to continue investing in innovation, operational efficiency, and local value addition to support India’s energy security goals.“The expansion to 3 GW, along with ALMM approval and BIS 2023 certification, reflects our focus on quality, scale and self-reliance,” Chairman and Managing Director Paresh Shingala said in a statement.
