Hindustan Zinc, the operating company of Vedanta, in lead and zinc business is planning to expand its smelting capacities. HZL has already invited Expressions of Interests (EoI) for expanding its zinc smelter debottlenecking project at Debari in Rajasthan.

The EoI has been invited for design, engineering, supply, erection and commission on lump sum turnkey basis for two packages. The Utility package consisting mainly of new demineralised water treatment plant ,new reverse osmosis plant to treat the effulent treatment plant water, upgradation and renovation of existing water and effluent treatment facilities, cooling water pumps, electrical and instrumental work for the package.

The Yard Piping project involves the interconnecting pipelines carrying steam, water, acid, oil, air in the plant and fire hydrant systems.
