Hartek Power has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 280 MW solar project, alongside an 80 MW/320 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Challakere, located in Karnataka's Chitradurga district.
The total contract value is Rs 3.53 billion. Hartek’s scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, erection, and commissioning of the solar and BESS systems, along with one year of operations and maintenance.
Hartek had previously commissioned a 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan and secured a contract to develop a 400 kV air-insulated substation from Power Grid Corporation of India. This substation will help integrate renewable energy into the state's power grid.
