The Haryana Government has decided to undertake the 'East-West-North-South'
expressway corridor.
The state government proposes to create a direct road network from Kotputli
(in Rajasthan near Haryana border) to Ambala and from Dabwali via Fatehabad to
Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh (near Haryana border) via Panipat.
As per sources, the preliminary studies were underway to assess the
availability of land and the cost involved. The tentative cost of the project
has been assessed to be around Rs 2,000 crore. The project will be in PPP mode
with a mixed model of BOT (toll) and BOT (annuity).
