Hexaware Technologiesis the latest to apply for setting up a Tech-Fin Centre at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). Following approvals granted to Infosys and Cognizant, Hexaware’s proposed facility will span 2,500 sq. mtrs. and employ over 500 professionals, as per International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA).
Its new branch at GIFT City will focus on IT consulting, IT design, and development services, among other offerings. the company aims to leverage India’s growing prominence as a tech-fin hub. The initiative reflects GIFT City's aims to emerge as a global fintech hub, spurred by IFSCA’s framework for tech-fin entities introduced in April 2022. The framework seeks to attract globally competitive financial technology companies to India.
Earlier, Cognizant received approval in December 2024 for its tech-fin centre in GIFT IFSC. The facility, spread over 4,925 sq. mtrs. will create 2,000 jobs and provide IT consulting, development, and business process outsourcing services.
Similarly, Infosys gained approval in September 2024 for a centre employing 500 personnel, focusing on software licensing, IT consulting, and business support. These developments underline GIFT City’s growing appeal as a destination for global IT leaders, driven by supportive policies and infrastructure designed to foster innovation and collaboration in the tech-fin sector. Hexaware, headquartered under CA Magnum Holdings, operates 54 offices worldwide and employs over 31,000 people globally.
