A high-level review meeting was held on 21 January, 2026 to assess the progress of major infrastructure projects in Bihar, costing over Rs 500 crore.
Chaired by Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, the meeting focused on key projects under Railways, MoRTH, and NHAI. The planning and development department presented an updated status of these initiatives, with senior officials from various departments in attendance. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary expressed concerns over the slow progress of certain railway projects and instructed District Magistrates to conduct regular reviews.
CS Amrit emphasised the need to prioritise resolving land acquisition issues and issuing no objection certificates (NOC). Additionally, he directed better coordination with the environment, forest, and climate change departments to expedite road and highway projects.
