Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stones and inaugurate six national highway (NH) projects worth Rs 5,379 crore in Rajasthan on 5 January 2019.
The projects for laying of the foundation stones include widening of Dangiyavas- Keru-Nagaur section of Jodhpur Ring Road to four lanes with paved shoulders, two-/four-laning with paved shoulders of Gagariya-Bawri Kalan-Sedwa-Bakhasar section of NH-925 .
The other projects for which the foundation stones will be laid include Sata- Gandhav section of NH-925A, and widening of Munabav-Sundra-Myajlar- Dhanana-Asutar-Ghotaru-Tanot section of NH-70 to two lanes with paved shoulders. These projects have a total length of 545.456 km and a cumulative cost of Rs 3,631.20 crore.
Other projects for dedication to the nation include widening of Jaisalmer-Barmer section of NH-68 to two/four lanes with paved shoulders, widening of Barmer-Sanchor-Gujarat Border (up to Gandhav Bridge) section of NH-68 to two/four lanes with paved shoulders, and widening of Falodi-Jaisalmer section of NH-15 (New NH-11) to two/four lanes with paved shoulders. These projects have a total length of 398.171 km and will entail an investment of Rs 1,747.54 crore.
