Hindustan Copper (HCL) has extended the last date for submission of bids to 12 June, 2025 for the selection of developer for Kendadih copper mine in Jharkhand.
This marks the third extension of the tender, which was originally due on 27 March, 2025. HCL had issued the tender on 11 February, 2025 for the selection of a developer for the development, operation and maintenance of Kendadih Mine at Indian Copper Complex, Jharkhand over a period of 10 years (excluding four months of initial mobilisation period).
The Kendadih mining lease spreads over an area of 1,139.60 ha and has been accorded statutory clearances of environmental clearance, forestry clearance in part of forest land. The application for obtaining amendment in environmental clearance, forestry clearance (Stage-I) for remaining forest area and renewal of mining lease are in process and advanced stage.
The successful bidder will obtain forest stage-II clearance including NOC from the forest department, and HCL will provide support, including documentary government / statutory payments as applicable for the same.
