Hindustan Zinc, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer has announced its results and performance for the third quarter and nine months ending 31 December, 2025.
The company reported silver production of 158 MT, reflecting a 10 percent QoQ increase, contributing 44 percent to its profits. This positions Hindustan Zinc uniquely to capitalise on the growing silver demand. The company also completed debottlenecking at the Chanderiya Smelter, raising its refined zinc capacity by 21 KTPA, following earlier expansions at the Dariba Smelter. Hindustan Zinc was also declared the successful bidder for the Tungsten Block in Balepalyam, Andhra Pradesh. The cellhouse debottlenecking at Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter has been completed. The 510 KTPA fertiliser plant is under progress and is expected to be finished by 1Q/FY27.
The hot acid leaching technology for lead and silver recovery at Dariba is expected to be completed by 4Q/FY26. The 250 KTPA refined metal capacity expansion is moving forward, with site work underway and expected to finish by 2Q/FY29. The first 10 MTPA tailings reprocessing plant at Rampura Agucha is on track to be completed by 4QFY28.
