Sanitary-ware firm Hindware is planning to launch 200 brand stores during the current financial year in different parts of the country. Out of these, 20 stores would be Lacasa stores.
The company seeks to open company-owned retail stores in key markets such as major metro cities in a year or two. The proposed investment is likely to cost around Rs 50 crore.
At present, Hindware operates over 470 brand stores in India, which it runs in partnership with the dealers. In the last five months, the company has opened nearly 45 stores and four Lacasa stores and the rest would be opened in the next seven months.
So far, the company has marked its footprint in Haryana and Hyderabad and now it seeks to augment capacity. The newly launched Lacasa store in Chennai houses an extensive selection of sanitary-ware, faucets, wellness and shower enclosures by Queo, Hindware Italian Collection and Hindware.
