IFFCO has inaugurated its state-of-the-art nano fertiliser plant in Devanahalli, Bengaluru, marking a significant step towards advancing science-driven and precision farming in India.
The plant, which covers 12 acres, has a daily production capacity of two lakh bottles of Nano Urea Plus. The facility is designed with advanced manufacturing processes and rigorous quality controls, reflecting IFFCO’s long-term strategy to combine science, sustainability, and farmer welfare. Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, emphasized the importance of innovation in agriculture, stating, "Science plus innovation must ultimately translate into farmer welfare." The plant is expected to reduce dependence on conventional urea, particularly in southern India, curb import requirements, and promote more efficient nutrient use on farms.
This facility aligns with the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat and highlights the growing role of cooperatives in fostering inclusive, technology-driven growth. During the inauguration, Chairman Sanghani also inspected the plant's technological architecture and production processes.
