On 28 February 2006, IJM Corporation
in a 50:50 joint venture with Shapoorji Pallonji & Co., India received a
letter of acceptance from National Highways Authority of India for the design,
engineering, construction, development, finance, operation and maintenance of
four laning, the existing two lane, from km.192.25 (near Ulundurpet) to km.285
(near Padalur) on NH-45 in Tamil Nadu on BOT (toll) basis. This is the first
highway development project of Shapoorji Pallonji & Co.

highway stretch is part of Tindivanam-Trichy (NH-45) upgradation project that is
being implemented on BOT basis, under three distinct packages. The above order
represents Package B of the project. The BOT contract for
Package C has been
awarded. Package A is being awarded to GMR Infrastructure, although details are
not yet available.
