IL&FS Engineering and Construction has received the Letter of Award (LoA) from Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon (RMRGL) for Phase-II of the metro project, coming up in Gurgaon district of Haryana.
The company has received the contract for construction of elevated depot-cum-workshop for the project.
The scope of work involves civil works (structural works) for elevated depot-cum-workshop near AIT Chowk, Gurgaon (South Extension), but excluding architectural finishing works for RMRG Phase-II.
The total cost of the contract is Rs 69.97 crore and is expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of issue of the LoA.
At present, the company is implementing two contracts for RMRG-Phase-II. The first involves construction of double track elevated viaduct at a cost of Rs 255.84 crore, and the other involves construction of five elevated stations at DLF Phase-I, Sushant Lok, Sector 53-54, AIT Chowk, and sector 55-56 in Gurgaon (South Extension) at a cost of Rs 84.30 crore.
