Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has commissioned its wind power project at
Kandla in Gujarat.
The 21 MW wind farm has been set up at an investment of Rs 130 crore. Power
generated at the wind farm is expected to cater to the power requirement of
IOC's fuel storage and oil pipelines in Gujarat.
IOC had awarded the contract for setting up of the wind farm to Pune-based
Suzlon Energy, which will also be responsible for maintenance and operations for
the duration of the contract.
