ITI, a Central Public Sector Undertaking, under the Ministry of Communications & IT, has bagged two advance purchase orders worth Rs 2,984 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL).
The company has bagged the orders, which are part of the Network for Spectrum (NFS) project for establishment of optical fibre network throughout the country.
ITI is the only Central Public Sector Undertaking, which has bagged two packages out of seven for the project, against stiff competition from multiple players.
The company has bagged these orders after the approval of the revival package of ITI by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).
