Indkal Technologies has ventured into the smartphone market under its new "Wobble" brand with a Rs 225 crore initial investment.
The company launched its first device, the Wobble One, featuring a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Powered by a Mediatek chipset, the phone will be available on Amazon from the first week of December. Indkal CEO Anand Dubey shared that the company has focused heavily on R&D, marketing, and after-sales services, while also aiming to cater to a wide range of customer segments.
The Wobble One will have three variants: 8GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, and 12GB RAM/256GB storage. Future launches will include higher-end devices in the Rs 30,000-40,000 range. The phone's design is partially developed in India, with critical components like the display and battery sourced locally, though the chipset is imported.
