Bhagwati Products, the EMS arm of Micromax plans to establish two new factories in Greater Noida under its joint venture with Chinese ODM major Huaqin.
The new facilities will assemble smartphones, tablets, servers, and IoT devices, while also producing key components like displays and mechanics, marking a shift toward deeper value addition. “We are setting up a new factory nearby for mobiles, tablets, and IoT. It is expected to be operational within six months,” said Rahul Sharma, Co-founder of Bhagwati Products. The company has already expanded the former Vivo facility, boosting capacity from one million to 4.5 million units.
The expanded capacity will cater to brands such as Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Realme, iQOO, Motorola, Acer, and Lenovo. The company has begun exporting Motorola tablets to the US and is seeking approvals for component manufacturing under the government’s ECMS scheme.
