On 8 February 2008, Indo Tech
Transformers commissioned its power transformers plant at Illuppapattu Village
in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu.
The plant located on 30 acre plot with
a built-up area of 1.10 lakh sq.ft, has an installed capacity of 4000 MVA per
annum with a state-of-the-art facility for manufacturing up to 315 MVA 420 kV
class transformers.
The plant is equipped with modern
machinery and equipment such as vapour phase drying unit, process equipment,
autoclaves and winding machines. The project is developed at an estimated cost
of Rs.65 crore.
