Infosys has inaugurated its Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its Hubballi Development Centre, part of the Infosys Living Labs global network.
Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge and Industries Minister MB Patil jointly launched the centre, highlighting the government’s efforts to decentralise IT growth through the 'Beyond Bengaluru' initiative. Minister Kharge noted Hubballi’s emergence as an innovation hub, with 125 start-ups and Rs 3,500 crore in IT exports. MB Patil underscored the government's push to develop innovation corridors in cities like Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Belagavi.
The facility will serve sectors like manufacturing, retail, finance, and healthcare. The centre is expected to enhance Hubballi’s position as a key digital and innovation hub for North Karnataka, offering employment and regional growth opportunities.
Infosys Executive VP Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar stated that the Living Labs initiative aims to deliver AI-driven solutions globally, with the Hubballi centre focusing on AI, cloud computing, SAP, and more.
