Hospitality firm InterGlobe Hotels is planning to open new hotels under economy brand ‘ibis’ across the country by 2015.
InterGlobe Hotels will open 13 new hotels under ibis entailing an investment of nearly Rs 600 crore exclusive of land cost of the projects. The new hotels will add 2,000 rooms with an average investment of Rs 30 lakh per room excluding the land cost. The hotels will be located in Delhi, Mumbai, Nasik, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur and Hyderabad among others. InterGlobe will raise funds for the proposed expansion through debt and equity mix. Currently, it has 1,500 rooms spread across its seven properties in India.
