The irrigation scheme worth Rs 137 crore being constructed in the Nadaun subdivision of the Hamirpur district is yet to be completed.
The project has faced delays even after getting repeated extensions.
The scheme was initiated in 2012 and was scheduled to be completed in two years.The scheme was to lift water from Beas river near Bil Kaleshwar temple, Jangloo village, in Himachal Pradesh. The water would have benefited 100 villages of the Nadaun subdivision.
So far, an investment of Rs 84 crore has been made on the scheme, including Rs 14 crore to the Electricity board for the installation of the substation to meet the power requirement of the scheme.
