JJ Hospital has proposed to build a residential complex at an investment of Rs 728 crore on the hospital campus. This project will see the replacement of the hospital’s aging infrastructure with eight luxury towers, offering modern, upscale living for its doctors, nurses, and other staff.
In light of the dilapidated conditions of the on-campus quarters and aiming to create a hygienic living environment, the state government has approved a luxury redevelopment plan which will demolish the old structures. These new buildings will also have podium parking, serene gardens, and a swimming pool. The housing plan includes a 22-storey tower dedicated to Class 1 and 2 staff, replacing the Dhanvantari buildings.
This new tower will include 40 spacious three-bedroom flats, each spanning 1,152 sq. ft., and 110 two-bedroom flats of 872 sq. ft., all designed with an emphasis on comfort and luxury.
The plan also includes three 34-storey towers for Class 3 employees, housing 612 one-bedroom flats, and four towers for the Class 4 staff, offering 816 modern one-bedroom flats. The blueprint for the project has been prepared by the Public Works Department (PWD).
