JK Cement conducted the foundation stone laying ceremony of its grinding unit in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh (UP) on 29 August, 2023.

The unit, with a total production capacity of 2.5 million tpa will come up with an investment of approx. Rs 500 crore. Incorporating cutting-edge technologies, the facility aligns with the themes of efficiency, sustainability, and environmental responsibility, along with the vision to create direct and indirect employment opportunities for the local community in the state.

With the establishment of the plant, the company is set to reach 25 million tpa grey cement capacity by FY25. A medium-term expansion plan includes achieving 30 million tpa, overall.

JK Cement operates two functional units at Aligarh and Hamipur in UP. Further, the strategic capacity expansion makes the manufacturer of grey and white cement well-positioned to cater to a diverse customer base across key markets.
