JSW Paints is planning to put up a new manufacturing plant to meet its growth target. The company has aimed at achieving five percent market share in the south and west in decorative paints in two to three years.
Currently, it has two manufacturing plants. The JSW Group set up its first largest and fully-automated industrial coil coatings facility with an annual capacity of 25,000 kilo ltr in Mumbai, Maharashtra and decorative paints unit with 1,00,000 kilo ltr annual capacity at Vijayanagar at a cost of Rs 600 crore.
The company will also expand the present facility in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, along with setting up a new unit elsewhere. This will entail an investment of Rs 75 crore.
Currently, JSW Paints are available in the five southern states and Maharashtra. It will cover the entire western region during Q4/FY20. In FY21, the products will be available in northern and eastern markets, and pan-India in three years.
