JSW Steel is planning to increase the capacity of its
Bellary plant in Karnataka from 7 to 10 million tpa by March 2011.
The expansion is part of JSW Steel's proposed Rs 7,000 crore investment plan
during the current fiscal. For the year, the company will require five million
tonne of coal, both semi-hard and hard.
Also, JSW Steel is scouting for coal mines in Australia, South Africa, the US
and Canada.
